The process of inviting people to a Place applies only when intending to invite people from outside a Grand Place. You cannot add people to your Grand Place without inviting them first due to Nested’s policies that respect bilateral consensus.
This feature does not apply to Places that come under a Grand Place, because once a person has accepted to join a Grand Place, they can be added to the Places and sub-Places within that Grand Place without any further notice.
You can invite people to become Members of a Place if you are
If any of the options above apply to you, you can proceed by clicking on the Place you intended to invite new Members for. Then, click on the ‘More options’ icon in the upper-right hand-side of the corner. Select ‘Invite Members’ and write the name, email or the phone number of the person you would like to invite for the Place. If this person has a Nested account and has enabled their searchable option from their settings, they will appear in Nested’s suggested listing. You can invite multiple people at the same time.
If you are the Manager of the Place, you can decide whether to promote your new Members to a Manager’s position or to keep them as Members by clicking on ‘Place Settings’ from the ‘More options’ icon. Here you will be able to view all the Members of your Place. Click on the ‘More options’ icon next to the name of the Member you would like to promote for the position of a Manager. The same way you can also demote or remove a Member from the Place.
Please keep in mind that if your Place has multiple Managers, they can demote you from your position, or even remove you from the Place, if they see suitable, because essentially they have the same rights for administrating the Place as you do once they become a Manager. If you are a Manager at a Grand Place, be careful in who you promote to be the co-Manager of your Grand Place, because at any given time they can demote you from your managerial position both in your Grand Place and the Places and sub-Places within that you might administer.
