The first page that appears when entering Nested is your Feed; the virtual space in which all the content of the Places you are a part of will be shown.
Once you choose ‘Messages’ from your navigation bar your Feed essentially functions as your timeline, where the latest messages and files of any given Place or a Member will appear with their corresponding comments, all categorized according to the period of time in which they were sent.
If you choose ‘Files’ from the navigation bar, you will get a neat listing of all the exchanged files, their formats, sizes and the date they were received. Click on whichever file you want to re-send, and it will give you the option of forwarding it to any Place or individual of your liking.
If you decide to go for ‘Activities’, you will see all the activities condensed and sorted by their dates, subject lines, and with their Place(s) and/or recipient(s), as well as the files attached. On the left-side of the message, there will be icons that define what particular activity they are: if it’s a green envelope, it means its a comprehensive message; if it’s a yellow bubble, its a comment.
You can also look up the exact message of your interest by typing couple of keywords in the Search box that appears at the upper bar of your page.
Sorting Your MessagesWith Nested, you can filter your messages (see Favorites below) and sort your messages by recency and type. To sort by recency, you go to your Feed, or the Place of your interest, and move your mouse over ‘Recent Messages’ option above ‘Write your message or drag your files here…’ box. You will see ‘Latest Activity’. Whichever you choose, your Feed or your Place’s Feed will be altered to meet your demand of either showing you your recent messages (in that particular Place) or the latest activity that has occurred there.
Alternatively, you can slide your mouse little rightwards from ‘Recent Messages’ and will see ‘View Settings’ list appearing. There you can choose what to see in that particular Place. For example, if you turn off comments, or attachments, you will be presented with the content preview of messages. Likewise, if you turn off content preview, only the subject line of the message with its comments and attachments will appear.
FavoritesYou can favorite Places important to you, which helps filter your Feed to show only the messages from the Places you consider priority.
You can view messages from your favorited Places from your Feed by sliding the starred ball at the top of the page to your right until it switches green.
